For our location in Tübingen, Germany, we are looking for our supply chain management department for a
Logistics, Customs and Foreign Trade
Your Responsibilities
- Process import and export shipments using computerised systems
- Prepare freight and export documents (domestic and international)
- Dispatch dangerous goods
- Notify and monitor on-time shipment processing
- Calculate freight costs
- Verify invoices and allocate freight costs to cost centres
- Classify goods in the customs tariff
- Obtain, check and maintain supplier declarations
- Communicate in writing and verbally in German and English with internal customers, freight forwarders and authorities (such as the Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and customs)
Your Skills
- Successfully completed commercial training (such as in freight forwarding, wholesale and foreign trade or industry)
- Several years of practical experience in shipping and customs clearance
- Good knowledge of customs regulations and rules of origin
- Good knowledge of export control is an advantage
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Confident handling of MS Office applications
- Ideally, experience with ASSIST4 software
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, willingness to learn and ability to work under pressure
